Sea horse (Hippocampus)

Commemorative coin is dedicated to a representative of  the Spicular family, the only endemic species of the Black Sea Hippocampus in the Fauna of Ukraine which is widespread in the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea. In circulation since July 25, 2003.

Obverse: 
On the coin obverse within the frame of a garland made of depictions of various species of flora and fauna, there is the small State Emblem of Ukraine and four-line inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 10, ГРИВЕНЬ, 2003, as well as designation of metal and its standard - Ag 925 and its pure weight - 31.1 and УКРАЇНА and the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Reverse: 
On the coin reverse the Hippocampus is depicted, around it there are circular inscriptions: МОРСЬКИЙ КОНИК ЧОРНОМОРСЬКИЙ and HIPPOCAMPUS GUTTULATUS MICROSTEPHANUS.
