Obverse: 
On the coin obverse the left there is a semicircular depiction of a conventionalized snowflake fragment with an inscription УКРАЇНА on its relief background and the small State Emblem of Ukraine; to the right, beneath on glass background there are inscriptions: 2 / ГРИВНІ / 2002 and the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Reverse: 
On the coin reverse to the left on the background of a glass  there is a silhouette depiction of a skater; to the right on the snowflake relief background there are three-lined inscriptions: ХІХ ЗИМОВІ ОЛІМПІЙСЬКІ ІГРИ / СОЛТ-ЛЕЙК-СІТІ / 2002.
