The National Bank of Kazakhstan has put into circulation 50 and 500 tenge coins from "Space" series dedicated to Lunokhod - 1. Coins are issued in circulation on August 5th 2010.

50 tenge CuNi coin.
Face value: 50 tenge;

Diameter – 31 mm, thickness – 2 mm, weight – 11,17 gram;

The lateral surface (drove) is grooved with 10 sectors of corrugation;

Mintage: 50000 pcs.

500 tenge silver coin.
Face value: 500 tenge;

Quality: proof, bimetal - silver 0.925 14.6 g. and tantalum 26.8 g.

Diameter – 38.61 mm, weight – 41,4 gram;

Mintage: 4000 pcs.
