Obverse: 
at the top – the relief of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus and inscription "РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ" (REPUBLIC OF BELARUS); in the center – image of a wheel of a distaff, as a symbol of eternal movement and image of national culture which texture passes in a structure of annual rings of cuts of the tree decorated with the Belarussian ornaments and the stylized image of silhouettes of storks; beneath: year of issue, fine silver alloy standard,at the bottom – face value "20 РУБЛЁЎ" (20 ROUBLES) – on silver coin and "1 РУБЕЛЬ" (1 ROUBLE) – on copper–nickel coin; inscriptions along the rim at the top – "РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ" (REPUBLIC OF BELARUS).
Reverse: 
stylized image of silhouettes of the stork as a symbol of the Belarus ground which wings are lifted upwards and are closed, forming embraces which are represented stars inside, the moon in the form of the braided snake and a frog in the form of constellation – serving as symbols of the Belarussian legend; inside a silhouette of a stork national Belarus ornaments are entered; beneath at the right inscriptions along the rim: ЛЕГЕНДА ПРА БУСЛА (The Legend of the Stork)
