The Central Bank of Turkmenistan issued a new set of one-manat and two-manat silver and gold coins “Turkmenistanyn hemiselik Bitaraplygyna” to honour the 15th anniversary of neutrality of Turkmenistan.

Commemorative coins are manufactured by the Royal Mint in the United Kingdom. The contour map of Turkmenistan is depicted on the obverse of both coins, in the upper part on the left there is the relief depiction of the UN emblem and on the right – the State Flag of Turkmenistan. There is the legend “Ashgabat”, the olive branch and the figure ‘15’ symbolizing the anniversary of neutrality of Turkmenistan in the lower part of the coins. As is known, the neutral status of Turkmenistan was adopted by the UN Resolution on December 12, 1995. There is the legend “Turkmenistanyn hemiselik Bitaraplygyna” (Permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan) placed above five national carpet patterns (gyol) in sequence and at the same distance one form another.

The reverse of coins traditionally depicts the National Emblem of Turkmenistan and the legends “Turkmenistanyn Merkezi banky” (the Central Bank of Turkmenistan) in the upper part and Iki manat (two manats) and bir manat (one manat) in the lower part of the coins.

The high quality of the coins ‘proof’ is guaranteed by the certificate issued by the Central Bank of Turkmenistan. The number of coins made from high-quality gold are 200 and 100. The coins 38.61 mm in diameter weigh 39.94 grams each and the coins in 22.05 mm diameter weigh 7.98 grams each. 250 coins made from silver 38.61 mm in diameter weigh 28.28 grams each.

50 sets of one-manat and two-manat coins made from silver and gold will be a wonderful present for numismatists. The silver coins 38.61 mm in diameter weigh 28.28 grams each, and the gold coin weigh 39.94 grams each.

The commemorative coins issued by the Central Bank of Turkmenistan on the eve of the national holiday will replenish unique numismatic collection created in Turkmenistan over the history of independence and will become a symbol of new epoch – the epoch of new Revival and great changes.
