The National Bank of Kazakhstan has put into circulation 100 tenge coin "Tomiris" on February 26th, 2011.
Averse: gilded image of State Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, number "100" and inscription "TENGE" indicate face value of the coin, trade mark of Kazakhstan Mint, an image of horsemen, number "2010" indicates the year of coinage, name of issuing bank in Kazakh «ҚАЗАҚСТАН ҰЛТТЫҚ БАНКІ» and in English "NATIONAL BANK OF KAZAKHSTAN.
Reverse: image of queen Tomiris surrounded by numerous warriors (fragment of Duselkhanov’s picture), indication of coin metal «Ag 925» and weight «31,1gr.», «VI B.C.» means century when Tomitis lived.
Images and inscription are relief.
Lateral surface is grooved.
The coin is made with usage of standard 925 silver, weight is 31.1 gr, diameter is 38.61 mm, proof production quality.
13 thousand pieces in circulation (3 thousand for internal market of Kazakhstan).
