Shanghai Cooperation Organization

On April 2, 2007 the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic issued into circulation the collection coins dedicated to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
The collection coins are internationally rated as the proof coins and are minted from sterling silver. The coins have the status of the legal tender on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Each coin with a certificate is placed into a separate box.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) is an intergovernmental mutual-security organisation which was founded in 2001 by the leaders of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Except for Uzbekistan, the other countries had been members of the Shanghai Five, founded in 1996; after the inclusion of Uzbekistan in 2001, the members renamed the organisation.

Obverse: 
The colored enameled logo of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization includes an image of the globe, in which the territory of the member states is marked, is located in the foreground of the coin. The circular legend "КЫЗМАТТАШУУНУН ШАНХАЙ УЮМУ" ("Shanghai Cooperation Organization") is in the upper part of the coin. The stylized image of tunduk of the Kyrgyz yurta's, that symbolizes unity of the people of Kyrgyzstan is in the lower part of the coin. The fineness and weight of silver (Ag 925/28.28) are indicated in the left part of the coin, and the coin denomination is in the right part of the coin.
Reverse: 
The state Emblem of Kyrgyzstan and the year of issue (2007) of the coin are represented on the reverse of the coin.
