Tulipa Regelii

Date of issue: November 7, 2006. Tulipa Regelii is an endemic of Kazakhstan. This flower can be found only in Chu-Ili Mountains (west part of Almaty oblast and east part of Zhambyl oblast) on stony and rocky slopes, and quite often on naked black rocks. This is the most exceptional flower of Kazakh tulips, on the surface of amplexicaule elliptic leaf there are many lengthwise ctenoid shoots. Images and inscription are relief. Lateral surface is grooved.

Obverse: 
The face side of the coin consists of leafs composition. To the left the inscription «500 ТЕҢГЕ» indicates the face value of the coins, «Ag 925 31,1gr.» means metal, standard of coinage and weight. National Bank of Kazakhstan logo is depicted on the upper section. On the circumference there are two inscriptions «ҚАЗАҚСТАН ҰЛТТЫҚ БАНКІ» and «NATIONALBANKOFKAZAKHSTAN».
Reverse: 
The back side of the coin shows the composition of three tulips against a background of stylized stony surface. The left tulip is depicted as a hologram. On the circumference there is a name of species «ҚЫЗҒАЛДАҚ» in Kazakh and «TULIPAREGELII» in Latin. In the lower part there is a year of coinage «2006» with trade mark of Kazakhstan mint.
