On the occasion of hosting the Final tournament of the Euro 2012 Football Championship, which will be held from 8 June to 1 July, the National Bank of Ukraine issues into circulation a series of commemorative coins devoted to this Championship.

This series consists 11 coins, including coins made of gold, silver and German silver as well as a circulation coin of 1 hryvnia face value. All the coins will bear the official Euro 2012 logo, as the National Bank of Ukraine hasreceived permission to use the official symbols of this championship.

500 hryven gold coin was issued into circulation on December 16th 2011.

500 hryven coins is dedicated to the Final tournament of the Euro 2012 Football Championship. Coin is made from gold purity 999.9. Weight of the coin is 500 gr, diameter 80 mm, quality briliant uncirculated, mintage 500 pcs
