Date of issue: July 20, 2004. Commemorative coin 500 tenge, devoted to 100 years of Kazakhstan rail facilities.
Obverse:
In the obverse upside of the coin of polishing circle there is Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan framed by quintuple turning ornamental eight-point rosette and legend in Kazakh "ҚАЗАҚСТАН YЛТТЫК БАНКI". In the downside there is nominal figure "500" and under it is a legend "ТЕҢГЕ". To the left of nominal there are trade mark of Kazakhstan Mint and legend "24 gr.", indicating the coin weight. To the right a legend "Ag 925" indicates the metal the coin is made of and its standard. Circling the coin are a salient edging and glass band.
Reverse:
In the reverse side of the coin against background of the Kazakhstan map with network of railway lines there is a picture of modern electric locomotive and steam locomotive. In the bottom side there is a legend "10 ЖЫЛ" located into two rows. In the upper side the number "2004" indicates the date of coinage. A legend in Kazakh "ҚАЗАҚСТАН ТЕМІРЖОЛЫНА" is placed on circumference . On the circumference there is salient edging
