Obverse: 
On the face of the coin (averse) in the center State Emblem of Kazakhstan is depicted against ornamental background. In the lower part "50 ТЕҢГЕ" means face value of the coin. On the circumference there are legends "ҚАЗАҚСТАН YЛТТЫҚ БАНКI" and «РЕСПУБЛИКА КАЗАХСТАН» (National Bank of Kazakhstan in Kazakh and Russian).
Reverse: 
On the back side of the coin (reverse) a woman putting a baby to his cradle is depicted against a background of stylized jurt decoration. The upper part indicates an inscription  «БЕСIККЕ САЛУ» - the name of this custom. 2006 means year of coinage.
