Obverse: 
In the obverse side of the coin in the upper part there is the State Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan framed by quintuple turning ornamental eight-point rosette and legend in Kazakh "ҚАЗАҚСТАН YЛТТЫК БАНКI". In the downside there is a figure "50" and a legend "ТЕҢГЕ" indication face value of the coin. Circling the coin are a salient edging and glass band.
Reverse: 
In the reverse side of the coin there is collage of prominent buildings of Astana capital. On the left part there is an inscription in Kazakh «АСТАНА 10 ЖЫЛ» (10 years of Astana), on the right part there is the emblem of the capital, that was valid during 10-years development of this city. Figure “2008” means year of coinage.
