Date of issue: 1 September 2003. Edge: 10 sectors of corrugation. Coin devoted to the 200th anniversary of Makhambet Utemisov. Makhambet Utemisov (1803-1846) was Kazakh poet, participant of peasant revolt under the direction of I. Taimanov. Songs and poems, which called for struggle against the tyranny of khans and czar's officials.

Obverse: 
On the face of the coin (averse), on its upper side the state emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan is located and under it there is a two-line inscription "50 ТЕҢГЕ". From the right and left side of the denomination there is the element of national ornament. On the circumference there is the legend "ҚАЗАҚСТАН YЛТТЫҚ БАНКI" (National Bank of Kazakhstan).
Reverse: 
On the back side of the coin, the official emblem of celebration of 200th anniversary of Makhambet Utemisov, outstanding akyn-improvisator is represented. From the left side of the emblem - trade mark of Kazakhstan mint, the year of coinage, and the logotype of the National bank of Kazakhstan.
