The King Vramshapuh

The Central Bank of Armenia has issued a silver commemorative coin with nominal value Dram 100, dedicated to the king Vramshapouh, on the occasion of the 1600-th anniversary of invention of the Armenian letters. Vramshapouh was the king of the Armenian Dynasty of Arshakouny and reigned over Armenia in the period 389-414. He greatly supported Mesrop Mashtots and Sahak A.Partev in creating the Armenian alphabet and carrying out educational missions.
