The National Bank of Belarus on August 29th, 2012 puts into circulation new silver and CuNi commemorative coins “100 years Maxim Tank".

Face value of the silver coin is 10 rubles, purity 925, weight 16.81 g, diameter 37 mm, proof quality. Mintage 2000 pcs.
Face value of the CuNi coin is 1 ruble, weight 19.5 g, diameter 37 mm, proof-like quality. Mintage 2000 pcs.

Coins are minted at the Lithuanian mint

Maxim Tank (Belarusian: Максiм Танк, Russian: Максим Танк, real name Yevgeniy Skurko; born September 17, 1912 in village of Pilkovschina, now in Minsk Voblast, Belarus; died 1995) was a Belarusian Soviet poet and translator. He was Chairman of the Supreme Soviet of the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic 1965-1971. Tank died in 1995.
