New Ukrainian coin 500 years to the city of Chyhyryn

The National Bank of Ukraine has put into circulation 5 hryvnen "500 years to the city of Chyhyryn" coin on October 10th, 2012 from  coin series.

Face value of new "500 years to the city of Chyhyryn" coin is 5 hryven, metal - nickel silver, weight 16.54 g, diameter 35 mm, proof quality. Mintagage 30 000 pcs. Coin is minted at the Mint of National Bank of Ukraine.

Chyhyryn (Ukrainian and Russian: Чигирин, Polish: Czehryń) is a city located in Cherkasy Oblast of central Ukraine. From 1648 to 1669 the city was the capital of Ukraine (Cossack Hetmanate).
