The Bank of Lithuania issued into circulation 2 litas coins dedicated to the Lithuanian resorts on 4th of December. Coins issued under Lithuanian resorts coin series. The four Lithuanian resorts are being featured on collector (commemorative) coins for the first time.

Mintage 100,000 pcs of each coin and 2,500 pcs of proof quality (mirror surface, mat relief) of each coin

The coin was minted at the state enterprise Lithuanian Mint.

The obverse of the coins features a stylized Vytis (the state emblem) with the inscriptions LIETUVA (Lithuania) and 2 LITAI (2 litas) arranged in a semicircle. The mintmark of the Lithuanian Mint is impressed on the obverse of the coin.The reverse of the four coins features the coat-of-arms of each resort in the centre, the inscription BIRŠTONAS, DRUSKININKAI, NERINGA or PALANGA above it, and the year of issue 2012 at the bottom.
