National Bank of Kazakhstan has released "Collective Security Treaty Organization", commemorative coin made of proof-quality silver of 500 tenge. Coin issued in circulation on December 20th 2012.
The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO; Russian: Организация Договора о Коллективной Безопасности Organizatsiya Dogovora o Kollektivnoy Bezopasnosti) is an intergovernmental military alliance which was signed on 15 May 1992. On 7 October 2002, the Presidents of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan signed a charter in Tashkent founding the CSTO.
Averse: State Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan framed in eight-pointed rosette, name of issuing bank in Kazakh «ҚАЗАҚСТАН ҰЛТТЫҚ БАНКІ», face value «500 ТЕҢГЕ», trademark of Kazakhstan Mint, weight of the coin «31,1 gr.» and metal «Ag 925».
Reverse: the emblem of Collective Security Treaty Organization, two inscriptions in Russian which mean 20 years on the signing of Collective Security Treaty with years «1992» and «2012» and 10 years of Collective Security Treaty Organization with years «2002» and «2012». Inscriptions and years are divided by dots.
