New Belarus coin Lily of the valley

The National Bank of Belarus on November 25th, 2013 puts into circulation new silver commemorative coin “Lily of the valley", from coin series .

The lily of the valley is a universally recognized symbol of purity, tenderness and faithful love. This simple and cute flower signifies dignity and virtue, as well as beauty, refinement and discreet splendour. Its genuine charm and enchanting fragrance have been glorified by poets and have inspired a multitude of artists. In astrology, the lily of the valley corresponds with the sign of Taurus.

Face value of the silver coin is 10 roubles, purity 925, weight 14.14 g. diameter 32.00 mm, proof quality. Mintage 8000 pcs.

In the central part of the coin – an image of a bouquet of flowers. On the left: a multi-coloured image of a rose – the next flower of the series. In the upper part of the coin – the national emblem of the Republic of Belarus. Along the rim – inscriptions: РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ (Republic of Belarus), 10 РУБЛЁЎ (the face value), M/W (the mint mark), 2013 (the year of issue), Ag 925 (the hallmark).
 
Reverse:
In the central part of the coin – a multi-coloured image of a lily of the valley. In the background – a piece of a lily of the valley recreated in relief. On the left, along the rim – an inscription: CONVALLARIA (the name of the flower in Latin).
