New Belarus coin Pansy

The National Bank of Belarus on December 20th, 2013 puts into circulation new silver commemorative coin “Pansy", from coin series .

The pansy is a flower of care, admiration and desired meetings. Its beauty, as well as impressive variety of colours and shades, can win anyone's heart. The symbolism of pansies is associated with emotional balance, peace and conciliation. These modest and tender flowers take thoughts away from anxieties and concerns to make people feel positive.

Face value of the silver coin is 10 roubles, purity 925, weight 14.14 g. diameter 32.00 mm, proof quality. Mintage 8000 pcs.

Obverse:
In the central part of the coin – an image of a bouquet of flowers. On the left – a multi-coloured image of a lily of the valley – the next flower of the series. In the upper part of the coin – the national emblem of the Republic of Belarus. Along the rim – inscriptions: РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ (Republic of Belarus), 10 РУБЛЁЎ (the face value), M/W (the mint mark), 2013 (the year of issue), Ag 925 (the hallmark).

Reverse:
In the central part of the coin – a multi-coloured image of two pansies. In the background – a piece of a pansy recreated in relief. Above, along the rim – an inscription: VIOLA (the name of the pansy in Latin).
