75 Years of the Sumy Oblast

The coin is dedicated to an agro-industrial region situated in the north-eastern part of Left-Bank Ukraine. Sumshchyna is a natural treasury of interminable meadows, clear waters and abundant forests, a land of glorious history and Cossack traditions.

bears the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine (above) with the semicircular inscriptions НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine) above and П`ЯТЬ ГРИВЕНЬ (five hryvnias) beneath; to the right there is the mark of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint; in the center there are depicted the Saviour`s Transfiguration Cathedral, Sumy Pavilion, sabre and powder horn, grain ears; to the right there is the coin issue year indication 2014.
Reverse: 
bears the Oblast coat of arms with the semicircular inscriptions: СУМСЬКА ОБЛАСТЬ (Sumy Oblast) above and ЗАСНОВАНА У 1939 РОЦІ (established in 1939 year) below.
