The Central Bank of Turkmenistan has issued commemorative coins in honor of the 290th anniversary of the great Turkmen classical poet, Makhtumkuli Fraghi.

The gold and silver coins, and a set of commemorative coins «Nusgawy Türkmen Şahyry Magtymguly Pyragynyň 290 ýyllygy» (the 290th anniversary of the classic Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli), including the gold and silver coins with a face value of 50 Manat each are devoted to the Day of Revival, Unity and Poetry of Makhtumkuli.

The new numismatic items with a circulation of 50 pieces were produced by the Royal Mint Limited of Great Britain.

The rarities 38.61 mm in diameter were coined from high quality 22-carat gold and 925 (sterling) silver.

The gold coin weighs 39.94 grams and silver one - 28.28 grams. A certificate of the Central Bank of Turkmenistan that comes with a product guarantees the high quality of coins.
