On October 29th, 2014, the National Bank of Ukraine put the commemorative coin "Ostap Vyshnya" of 2 hryvnia face value into circulation.

The commemorative coin is dedicated to a Ostap Vyshnya.

Ostap Vyshnia (real name Pavlo Hubenko, 13 November 1889 — 28 September 1956) was a Ukrainian writer, humourist, satirist, and official.

The coin is made from German silver, quality− “special uncirculated”, weight – 12.8 g, diameter – 31.0 mm, mintage – 20,000 pieces. The coin edge is grooved.

The coin has been created by a team of designers and engravers: Mykola Kochubei and Volodymyr Demianenko
