The Central Bank of Turkmenistan issued gold and silver coins, worth 50 manats dedicated to the opening of railway Kazakhstan - Turkmenistan - Iran.
New commemorative coins were made by long-term partner of our country – UK’s "The Royal Mint Limited".
On the obverse of both coins in the center of the inner ring on the background of the globe of the world the railway along with the locomotive is depicted. On the silver coin railroad locomotive is covered with gold. Above the locomotive, from left to right, there are state flags of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Around the circumference of the outer ring on top there is inscription «GAZAGYSTAN - TÜRKMENISTAN - EÝRAN DOSTLUK DEMIR ÝOLY», and at the bottom the year of issue of commemorative coin "2014".
On the reverse side of both coins in the center of the relief image of the State Emblem of Turkmenistan, over the semicircular inscription «TÜRKMENISTANYŇ MERKEZI BANKY».The inscription «ELLI MANAT» indicates the denomination of the coin. To the left of the line (Au 916,7 on the gold and silver in the Ag 925), and to the right - the weight of the coin (on a gold 39,94 gr, on a silver 28,28 gr) are shown.
The diameter of the coin is 38.61 mm.
