New Ukrainian coin Vasyl Lypkivsky

On November 27th, 2014, the National Bank of Ukraine put the commemorative coin "Vasyl Lypkivsky" of 2 hryvnia face value into circulation. The commemorative coin is dedicated to a Vasyl Lypkivsky.

Vasyl Kostantynovytch Lypkivsky (Ukrainian: Василь Костянтинович Липківський, Russian: Василий Константинович Липковский; 7 September 1864 — 27 November 1937) was founder of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church and the first "Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine" (1921–1927).

The coin is made from German silver, quality− “special uncirculated”, weight – 12.8 g, diameter – 31.0 mm, mintage – 20,000 pieces. The coin edge is grooved.
The coin has been created by a team of designers and engravers: Mykola Kochubei and Volodymyr Demianenko
