Commemorative coin - Snowdrop is connected with early blossoming of plants when flowers appear at once from under the snow. The flower grows on the rubbly and clay slopes, meadow and steppe sites, also in thickets of bushes from the foothills to the upper bound of a forest belt. Flowers meet in the Dzungaria Ala-Tau and Tien Shan.

 

Coins are made with application of technology of drawing gilding on a surface. The coin has an oval shape.

 

Obverse:  the coat of arms of the Republic of Kazakhstan in a frame of stylized image of petals of a snowdrop; an inscription «500» located on two lines, means face value and trade mark of Kazakhstan Mint; an inscription «ТЕҢГЕ» at lower sector; inscriptions «ҚАЗАҚСТАН ҰЛТТЫҚ БАНКІ» in Kazakh and inscription «Ag 925 31,1 g.» means metal, standard of coinage and mass along the oval; inscriptions are divided by dots.

 

Reverse: composition from snowdrop flowers; the internal part of the flower on composition is gilded; an inscription  «БӘЙШЕШЕК» in State language along the oval shape; an inscription  «CROCUS ALATAVICUS»; inscriptions and number along the oval are divided by dots.

 

Lateral face is grooved.
