The National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan announces the issue, effective from 11 December 2015, of the commemorative coin “Tazy" – a silver coin of “proof” quality of the nominal value of KZT 500 under Heritage of Kazakhstan coin series.

The coin has a rectangular shape.
Tazy or the Kazakh wolfhound is a magnificent hunter. Its typical color is a bright red with black tips of hair on a back and ears; however other colors meet. Tazy are remarkable by its ability to fast long run. Tazy can hunt both independently and in the company of hunting birds. Tazy is used for hunting foxes, hares and even a wolf. Its origin is very ancient. Tazy is identical to the representative of breed of a saluki (the Persian dog, one of the oldest breeds).
Coins are made with drawing of gilding on a surface of coins.
Obverse: inscription «500 ТЕҢГЕ» and logo of the National Bank of Kazakhstan; inscriptions «ҚАЗАҚСТАН ҰЛТТЫҚ БАНКІ» in state language and «NATIONAL BANK OF KAZAKHSTAN» in English.
Reverse: a gilded image of three dogs Tazy against a massif; inscription «ТАЗЫ» at the top; number «2015» indicating year of coinage; inscription «Ag 925 31.1 g» means metal, standard of coinage and weight.
Lateral surface is smooth without corrugation and inscriptions.
Fineness: 925 Ag
