Ukraine Non-permanent Member of the U.N. Security Council in 2016 - 2017

The coin commemorates the event that gives Ukraine an additional ability to inform the international community of what is going on in the country, as well as provides it with a new opportunity to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity. The U.N. Security Council is a standing United Nations body responsible for maintaining international peace and security.
