The commemorative coins issued by the Central Bank of Turkmenistan to mark the anniversary of independence will become a part of the priceless numismatic collection created in Turkmenistan during the years of independence.
Obverse:
The map of Turkmenistan and the image of the Independence Monument against the background of the rising sun are depicted in the centre of the obverse of the commemorative coins. The olive branches symbolizing the neutrality of our country are depicted at the bottom of the coins. The Roman numeral – XXV symbolizing the anniversary date are to the right of the Monument and five Turkmen patterns – to the left. The inscriptions ÝAŞASYN GARAŞSYZ, BAKY BITARAP, placed in the top of the coins, and TÜRKMENISTAN! – at the bottom of the cons are separated by the octagon images.
Reverse:
The centre of the reverse of the coins traditionally depicts the relief image of the State Emblem of Turkmenistan. The inscription Türkmenistanyň Merkezi banky on the top of the coin and the inscription ÝÜZ MANAT - at the bottom are separated by the octagon images. The standard of the metals from which the coins are minted Au 916.7 and their weight 39.94 gr. are presented on the reverse.
