The House–warming commemorative coin ranks second at numismatic contest in Italy.
The House–warming commemorative coin issued by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB) took the second place in the Andrea Palladio International Award nomination at the 6th International Prize of Vincents Numismatic contest in Italy.
The jury headed by President of the Italian Numismatic Society Ermanno Winsemann Falghera noted that the Belarusian memorable coin possesses “a harmonious combination of elements symbolizing home comfort and traditional house-building”. Its design with the elements of folk art (woodcarving, paper cutting art) gave an opportunity to showcase Belarusian culture and traditions to the world.
Another victory of the Belarusian commemorative coin in this prestigious contest testifies to the recognition of the fruitful work of the NBRB specialists by the world community.
The most beautiful coins issued by mints and state administrations receive awards at the numismatic contest. Thirty-one coins from 12 countries (Australia, Belarus, Great Britain, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, San Marino and Ukraine) took part in the competition in 2009.
