On the obverse of the coin there is the upper small State Emblem of Ukraine, under which the year of issue of the coin is 2017, in circle there are inscriptions: NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE (above), FIVE HIRS (below), on the right - the logo of the Banknote-Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine; in the center there is a composition that is a unique visual portrait of the region: a unique wooden church of the eighteenth century, built without a single nail, - Trinity Cathedral, to the right of which stylized objects symbolizing the priority development in the field of rocket space construction and metallurgical production , - a satellite on the background of stars and a bucket, under which - a flower - a fragment of Petrikovskogo painting and brush, on the left - an ear, indicating the powerful agrarian potential of the region.
Reverse: 
The reverse of the coin depicts the coat of arms of the region, in circle there are the inscriptions: DNIPROPETROVSK REGION (top), BASED IN 1932 (below).
