Collection coin “Mother-Deer” of the series “legends and Tales of Peoples of EurAsEC Countries” was issued in circulation on October 29, 2009 by the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Collection coin “Mother-Deer” is issued within the framework of the International program on issuance and selling of collection coins made of precious metals of the Eurasia Economic Community Countries. The assembling element of the whole series of collection coins, issued by the central (national banks) of the Eurasia Economic Community Countries, is the emblem of the Eurasia Economic Community. The legend about Mother-Deer from Chingiz Aitmatov's tale "The white ship" and the EurasEC emblem made in colored enamel are presented on the foreground of averse of the coin.
The Coin is devoted to the legend about Mother-deer which rescued human children and brought them up like her own ones. Nevertheless after becoming strong again proud and vain humans forgot about goodness of Mother-deer and stopped revering her as a sacred animal. Humans began to hunt big deer – marals in order to place their antlers on a tomb of ancestors as a sign of profound respect. The deer disappeared and the mountains became deserted. Mother-deer was wounded in her deepest feelings and left with the rest of her children for another land, another mountains. When leaving, she said that she would never come back…
