National Bank of Kyrgyz Republic puts into circulation coin with face value of 10 som 
 
National Bank of Kyrgyz Republic on December 1, 2009 puts into circulation coin with face value of 10 som, as announced deputy chairman of the National Bank of Kyrgyz Republic Zaire Chokoyev. According to him, in connection with the planned actions the National Bank issues coin with face value of 10 soms. Low face value banknotes have a tendency to rapid decay, therefore the National Bank on November 2007 issue of the first coins has started. Technical parameters of the coin: diameter – 24.5 mm, weight – 5.4 g, metal – nickel plated steel.  According deputy chairman of the National Bank, international tender for the production of coins the Kazakhstan Mint has won.
