A copper-nickel “brilliant uncirculated” coin is 32 millimeters in diameter with the nominal value of 1 Belarusian ruble. The central bank had 10,000 copper-nickel coins minted for it.
The head of all coins pictures an impression of the sun and moon. Twelve signs of the zodiac form a circle; below them is the sign of the Aquarius and inscriptions AQUARIUS in Latin and ВАДАЛЕЙ in Belarusian.
In the lower part is the standard of alloy (for silver coins) and mint year, as well as the words РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ in the upper and ДВАЦЦАЦЬ РУБЛЁЎ for silver coins and 1 РУБЕЛЬ for copper-nickel coins.
The tail of the coin pictures an embossed image of a water-carrier with a synthetic crystal (on a silver coin).
The coins are a legal tender of Belarus for all debts, public and private without restriction.
