100 years from the Union of Bessarabia with Romania
Obverse:
On the central part – the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Moldova. On the upper part – the year of issue „2018”. On the bottom part -the inscription „1000 LEI”, following the coin circumference – the inscription „REPUBLICA MOLDOVA” is engraved in block letters.
Reverse:
In the foreground: an allegorical image of two countries represented as two women, the one holding a ribbon and the other – a laurel branch. At the top: the inscription „UNIREA BASARABIEI CU ROMÂNIA” (The union of Bessarabia with Romania). In exergue: the inscriptions „27 MARTIE 1918” (27 March 2017) and „100 ANI” (100 years). On the left-hand side: the State Coat of Arms of Romania in 1918. On the right-hand side: the State Coat of Arms of the Moldovan Democratic Republic.
