Obverse: 
at the top - a relief image of coat of arms of the Republic of Belarus, in the center – a stylized silhouette of a lark and elements of the Belarusian national ornament, in the background – the symbol of perpetual motion – the Slavic swastika. At the bottom – the year of issue (on silver coin – the purity). The inscriptions are: РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ in the upper part and 20 РУБЛЁЎ (Ag coin) and  1 РУБЕЛЬ (CuNi coin) in the lower part.
Reverse: 
at the center – a stylized image of the lurk with outspread wings, at the lower part -  a silhouette of the sower. At the right side the inscription: ЛЕГЕНДА ПРА ЖАВАРАНКА.
