The National Bank of Belarus on December 30, 2009 puts into circulation new silver commemorative coins “The Olympic Games 2012. Handball“ under the international monetary program.

Silver coin – face value 100 rubles, purity 999, weight 155.50 g, diameter 65.00 mm;
Silver coin -  face value 20 rubles, purity 925, weight 31.10 g, diameter 40.00 mm;

The obverse: in the center - in the background of ball fragment a relief image of coat of arms of the Republic of Belarus, the inscriptions are: РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ in the upper part and accordingly to face value, 100 РУБЛЁЎ and 20 РУБЛЁЎ in the lower part.

The reverse: in the center – in the background of ball fragment a pictogram of London Tower Bridge and an image of two handball players, at the lower part - the inscriptions  АЛIМПIЙСКIЯ ГУЛЬНI 2012 and ГАНДБОЛ.

The quality of the coins is proof, the edge is reeded, mintage – 800 (100 rubles coins) and 6000 (20 rubles coins). Coins are a legal tender of Belarus for all debts, public and private without any restriction.
