Anton Rubinstein

Anton Grigorevich Rubinstein (Russian: Антóн Григóрьевич Рубинштéйн) (November 28, 1829 – November 20, 1894) was a Russian-Jewish pianist, composer and conductor. As a pianist he was regarded as a rival of Franz Liszt, and he ranks amongst the great keyboard virtuosos. He also founded the Saint Petersburg Conservatory, which, together with Moscow Conservatory founded by his brother Nikolai Rubinstein, helped establish a reputation for musical skill among the subjects of the Tsar of Russia.

Obverse: 
there is an image of the State Emblem Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika in the centre, circled by an inscription  "ПРИДНЕСТРОВСКИЙ РЕСПУБЛИКАНСКИЙ БАНК" (Pridnestrovskiy Respublikanskiy Bank) in Cyrillic above the image along the edging and an inscription "100 РУБЛЕЙ" (100 rubles) in Cyrillic under the image. An inscription "2004" indicating the mint year is below the image of the State Emblem.
Reverse: 
In the centre there is an image of Anton Rubinstein framed with a laurel wreath to the right side of the image and a circling inscription "А.Г. РУБИНШТЕЙН" (A.G. Rubinstein) in Cyrillic above the image. To the left of the image there are the first notes of a musical composition  "Баркарола" (Barcarole). A circular inscription “1829 – 1894” (indicating life time of A. Rubinstein) is at the bottom of the coin.
