Konstantin Gedroits

Konstantin Kaetanovich Gedroits (1872 - 1932) was a Russian scientist and painter born in Grigoriopol. Specializing in geology, he authored Genetic soil classification based on the absorptive soil complex and absorbed soil cations (out of print).

Obverse: 
there is an image of the State Emblem Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika in the centre, circled by an inscription "ПРИДНЕСТРОВСКИЙ РЕСПУБЛИКАНСКИЙ БАНК" (Pridnestrovskiy Respublikanskiy Bank) in Cyrillic above the image along the edging and an inscription "100 РУБЛЕЙ" (100 rubles) in Cyrillic under the image.. An inscription "2002" indicating the mint year is below the image of the State Emblem.
Reverse: 
an image of the painter K.K. Gedroits framed with a laurel wreath is to the right. To the left of the image there is a composition consisting of three spikes, a chemical bulb and an open book. An inscription  "К.К. ГЕДРОЙЦ" (K.K. Gedroits) in Cyrillic is at the top and an inscription “1872-1932” (indicating life time of the scientist) is written in semicircle from left to right along the edging in the left lower section of the reverse.
