February 10th, 2010 Central Bank of Armenia launches a silver collector coin with nominal value 1000 drams from the Beauty of Flowers series: "Snowdrop" (Galanthus Artjuschenkoae).
Galanthus Artjuschenkoae is a charming plant, small in stature ( 25-35 cm) with white or sometimes creamy flowers and light-green leaves, emerging through the snow and blooming in March. It is met only in two floristic regions of Armenia (in the South and North), in the oak- hombeam or beech forests, and in the low and middle mountain zones (900-1200 m). The coin issued with colored inks.
The silver collector coin was designed by Eduard Kurghinyan. The mintage of the collector coins is 10,000 and they were minted by B.H. Mayer’s Kunstprageanstalt GmbH, Karlsfeld (Germany).
