Belarusian History and Culture. Commemorative coin dedicated to the 900th Anniversary of Euphrosyne of Polotsk
Obverse:
within the circular geometric ornament – the relief of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus; beneath – year of issue; silver coin – fine silver content and alloy standard; inscriptions along the rim – at the top: "РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ" (REPUBLIC OF BELARUS), at the bottom: "ДВАЦЦАЦЬ РУБЛЁЎ" (TWENTY ROUBLES) on the silver coin and "АДЗІН РУБЕЛЬ" (ONE ROUBLE) on the copper–nickel coin.
Reverse:
in the center – the relief effigy of an entrance to a cell and of the cross of Euphrasinya of Polatsk which is an invaluable Belarusian sacred object (made of gold on silver coin); in the left–hand part – the inscription "ЕЎФРАСІННЯ ПОЛАЦКАЯ 900 ГОД" (EUPHRASINYA OF POLATSK 900 YEARS); in the right–hand part – the relief effigy of a figure of Euphrasinya of Polatsk.
