The coin is dedicated to the Great Kievan Prince and statesman, during whose reign the formation of the old-Rus state was completed and the Christianity as the state religion was introduced. In circulation since September 25, 2000.
Obverse:
On the coin obverse within the frame of old-rus ornamental pattern there is the Small State Emblem of Ukraine and the conventionalized inscription: 2000 / УКРАЇНА / 10 / ГРИВЕНЬ, as well as Ag 925, the metal standard, 31,1 g, its weight and the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Reverse:
On the coin reverse in the foreground there is the depiction of the Prince Volodymyr on the background of the annalistic scene of baptism of the the prince himself and the conventionalized inscriptions: 978 ВОЛОДИМИР 1015 (above), КНЯЖА УКРАЇНА (down).
