The Kyiv-Pechersk Assumption Cathedral

Commemorative coin is dedicated to restoration of the Assumption Cathedral of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra monastery, the outstanding historical and cultural monument of Ukraine of the 11th-18th centuries. In circulation since December 24, 1998.

On the coin obverse within a frame of a baroque-like interpreted pattern ornamental there is a depiction of the Small State Emblem of Ukraine and a four line legend УКРАЇНА, 10 ГРИВЕНЬ, 1998. Furthermore there is symbol of the precious metal - Ag 925, and its pure weight - 31,1.
Reverse: 
On the coin reverse there are depictions of the Assumption Cathedral, destroyed in 1941 and its ruins.
