The coin is dedicated to 110^th anniversary of Oleksander P.Dovzhenko (1894 – 1956), the founder of the Ukrainian national school of cinematography, a writer and an artist who was born in a town of Sosnytsa  of Chernihiv region. Dovzhenko was a screen  poet and philosopher, a brilliant film-director, whose feature film "Earth" is included to the 12 best feature films of the world. He was a distinctive romanticist  writer, who was called as the Homer of 20^th century. In circulation since July 5, 2004.
