Oleksander Korniychuk

The coin is dedicated to 100th anniversary of Oleksander Korniychuk, a Ukrainian playwright, a script writer, a public figure and a member of the World Peace Council, who was born in Kyiv region. The plays of Korniychuk made an impact on the development of dramatic art. In circulation since June 1, 2005.

On the coin obverse left and upon a background of conventionalized sheets of paper there is a depiction of theatre masks - symbols of dramatic art, under them - a conventionalized pen and the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine, above and right there is the small State Emblem of Ukraine, under which there is a three-lined inscription: УКРАЇНА/ 2/ГРИВНІ/2005.
Reverse: 
On the coin reverse upon a background of conventionalized sheets of paper there is a portrait of Korniychuk (left), right from it there is a two lined inscription: 1905 - 1972, his years of life and a semicircular inscription: ОЛЕКСАНДР КОРНІЙЧУК.
