Volodymyr Vynnychenko

The coin is dedicated to 125th anniversary of Volodymyr Vynnychenko, a public and political figure and a writer. Volodymyr Vynnychenko is one of the key figures of the Ukrainian history and culture of the first decades of twenties century, who being in the centre of political life, became the Vice Chairman of the Central Rada (Ukrainian Parlament), headed the first  Ukrainian Government, and at the end of 1918 was an initiator of formation and the first Directoire Chairman of the Ukrainian People's Republic. In circulation since November 30, 2005.

Obverse: 
On the coin obverse in the centre there is the small State Emblem of Ukraine, beneath – 2005, the coin mintage year; around the coin circumference there are inscriptions: НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (above), ДВІ ГРИВНІ (beneath), as well as the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Reverse: 
On the coin reverse a portrait of Vynnychenko is depicted, on both sides of which there are inscriptions: ВОЛОДИМИР/ ВИННИЧЕНКО (left) and his years of life: 1880/1951 (right).
