Obverse:
Face value of the coin "1000 ТЕҢГЕ"; National Bank of Kazakhstan logo; trade mark of Kazakhstan Mint; " Ag 925 67,25 gr." means metal, standard of coinage and weight; the image of coins 1, 3, 5, 10 and 20 tenge of 1993 issue; name of the coin in Kazakh "ТЕҢГЕГЕ 10 ЖЫЛ" means 10 years of national currency introduction.
Reverse:
State Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is made with the use of blue enamel and gilding; "2003" means the year of coinage; legend in Kazakh "ҚАЗАҚСТАН РЕСПУБЛИКАСЫ".
