This Commemorative Coin is issued by the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia and Dedicated to the FIRST PAN-ARMENIAN Games (Yerevan, August 28-September 5,1999). The First Pan-Armenian Games are an outstanding event in the cultural and sport life of Armenians from different countries. The First Pan-Armenian Games are an important step at the turn of the millennium and in the threshold of the 1700 Anniversary of the adoption of Christianity in Armenia, towards the rapprochement of relations between Armenia and Diaspora. The participants of the Games are Armenian athletes from 55 cities of the world.
