On the coin reverse there are a portrait of the scientist and  the so-called "Kondratyuk's route", the scheme of spaceship flight to the Moon, its landing on the Moon's surface and return to the Earth. Over the Kondratyuk's portrait and at the left from it,  there are conventionalized star depictions, under the portrait there are inscriptions: 1897-1942, year of the scientist's birth and  death at the front by Moscow. Around the coin circumference there are inscriptions: ЮРІЙ КОНДРАТЮК - above and ОЛЕКСАНДР ШАРГЕЙ - underneath in brackets.
