Commemorative coin is dedicated to a rare species of European orchid in Ukrainian partially-wooded steppe zone, which is entered to the Red Book of Ukraine. In circulation since July 26, 1999.

Obverse: 
On the coin obverse within a frame of a window, combined from various species of flora and fauna, there is the Small State Emblem of Ukraine and a four line legend: УКРАЇНА, 10, ГРИВЕНЬ,1999 and the symbol of the precious metal, its fineness - Ag 925 and weight 31,1.
Reverse: 
On the coin reverse there is a depiction of an enlarged orchid flower, to its left there is a flower stem with two leaves and floscules; to its right there are circular inscriptions: ЛЮБКА ДВОЛИСТА and  PLATANTHERA BIFOLIA.
